What thickness should an acrylic table top be?

5mm to 6mm for small side and coffee tables, 8mm to 10mm for dining, cafe and any top spanning 800mm or more between supports.

Can it replace a broken glass table top?

Yes. Send the diameter or length and width of the original pane, the corner radius and any fixing hole positions, and we cut a like-for-like acrylic top.

How do I measure for a round or oval top?

Accepted Answer

Measure the diameter across the widest point in two directions for round tops. For oval or racetrack, give the full length, full width and corner radius, or send a paper tracing.

Will an acrylic top work outdoors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cast acrylic is UV-stable, will not yellow or go brittle, and suits garden and balcony tables. We can add a parasol hole.

How do you fix the top to the base?

Accepted Answer

Either clear rubber pads with the weight of the top holding it, or bolts through drilled holes. Send the hole positions from your base and we cut them.

Does it scratch, and how do I clean it?

Accepted Answer

Use warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid and a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid paper towels, ammonia glass cleaners and scouring pads.

Most tops are ready in 2 to 4 working days for collection in Dublin 12, or 3 to 6 working days delivered anywhere in Ireland.
