Is acrylic clearer than glass?

It's optically very close to standard float glass, and noticeably clearer than thick glass, which has a slight green tint.

Will it scratch?

More easily than glass. Keep the protective film on until install, and clean with a soft microfibre cloth.

Do you do UV-protective glazing?

Standard cast acrylic blocks most UV-B. For museum-grade UV filtering, we can order specialty acrylic on request.

Can you cut to a non-rectangular shape?

Yes, any shape on the laser, circles, ovals, arches, all welcome.

Yes, we cut for picture framers and gallery installers across Ireland.

Will it attract dust through static?

Accepted Answer

Acrylic can pick up a light static charge when first unwrapped. An anti-static wipe before fitting and a microfibre cloth long-term sort it out.

How do I measure for a replacement pane?

Accepted Answer

Measure the inside-frame opening at top, middle and bottom and send us the smallest dimension. We trim about 1mm for seasonal movement.
